Abstrakt:
Pisanie i rozmawianie z umarłymi, czyli ćwiczenia z etnografii intymnej – autorskie uwagi na marginesie Dzieci Kazimierza
Artykuł stanowi próbę zastosowania pojęcia etnografii intymnej do książki autora, Dzieci Kazimierza (2019) wraz z prześledzeniem procesu jej powstawania i recepcji. Dokonując swoistej historii historii dzieła, autor odnosi się do podstawowych etycznych i metodologicznych dylematów związanych z etnografią intymną – jej stałym zacieraniu i przesuwaniu granicy między tym, co publiczne, a tym, co prywatne, konieczności transparentności indywidualnych motywacji autora (po co pisze), konfrontacji z ciszą i traumą oraz próbą holistycznego podejścia do losów jednostek. Artykuł za Geertzem podejmuje kwestię, jak za pomocą etnografii można zabrzmieć jednocześnie jak „pielgrzym i kartograf”, stając się kolejnym przyczynkiem do eksplorowania związków między antropologią a literaturą.

Abstract:
Writing, talking to the dead and doing intimate ethnography – notes about my book (Dzieci Kazimierza)
This article attempts to apply the concept of intimate ethnography to the author's book, “Casimir’s Childre” (2019), along with tracing the process of its creation and reception by readers. Making a kind of story of the history of the work, the author addresses the basic ethical and methodological dilemmas associated with intimate ethnography - its constant blurring and shifting of the boundary between what is public and what is private, the need for transparency of the author's individual motivations (why he writes), the confrontation with silence and trauma, and the attempt at a holistic approach to social actors. Following Geertz, the article addresses the question of how while doing ethnography, one can sound at the same time like a 'pilgrim and a cartographer' becoming another contribution to the exploration of the relationship between anthropology and literature.
