The development, transformations and reorganisation of research of memory led to the creation of a new complex of cultural studies, which supplement the deliberations on memory. The span thereof, the dynamics and most of all the meaning, proclaimed yet another cultural notion: archival turn. In the current of archival art emerged from the direct combination of the interest in the issue of memory and the strategy of giving a work the form of a collection or some kind of database. The author describes the form of the archival trend in the field of new media art on the example of the works of Masaki Fujihata and Luz María Sánchez
