ENG: We invite you to an online workshop! We are implementing this initiative in partnership with Educat Kollectiv (DE) and Humus (AU) as part of the „Skills for Crisis” project.
The “Understanding the Path” workshop with Sanjar Hoshimi is a space for encountering refugee experience – not from a book, but from life. In an intimate and safe atmosphere, participants will look at what it really means to be “on the move” – physically, emotionally and socially – and how to wisely, empathetically and as partners support people with refugee experience in the realities of contemporary Poland, also in the context of decreasing social solidarity. The facilitator – a refugee himself – shares personal stories, reflections and practical tips based on many years of experience working in an intercultural environment.
The “The Refugee’s Question: Will I Ever Belong Again?” workshop with Umut Er offers an unfiltered, deeply personal account of a Kurdish doctor’s journey from helping Syrian refugees in Turkey to becoming one himself. Experience his escape, border arrests, asylum attempts, and months in closed detention centers. Beyond the hardships and loneliness, discover the unexpected friendships, solidarity, and hope he found along the way. Participants will be invited to ask questions and engage directly with his lived experience.
