Abstrakt:
„Spotkały się i rozeszły”. Malarki ze środowiska warszawskiego w Galerii Dziekanka w 1987 roku. Badania wstępne
Artykuł podejmuje temat wystawy zorganizowanej w październiku 1987 roku w Galerii Dziekanka w Warszawie jako próby uwidocznienia twórczości kobiet w polu sztuki okresu tranformacji. Wskazuje na marginalizację artystek w latach 80., analizuje przyczyny powstania inicjatywy, dobór uczestniczek oraz formę ekspozycji. Metodologia opiera się na rekonstrukcji wydarzenia poprzez analizę archiwaliów, materiałów wizualnych oraz wywiadów z kuratorami i artystkami. Wystawa ukazuje różnorodność stylistyczną twórczości malarek, ale także trudności w budowaniu wspólnoty kobiecej w warunkach dominacji męskich grup artystycznych.

“They Met and Parted.” Painters from the Warsaw Community at the Dziekanka Gallery in 1987. Preliminary Research
This article examines an exhibition organized in October 1987 at the Dziekanka Gallery in Warsaw, which aimed to highlight the contributions of women artists during the period of transformation. It addresses the marginalization of female artists in the 1980s and analyzes the motivations behind the initiative, the selection of participants, and the structure of the exhibition. The methodology involves reconstructing the event through the analysis of archival materials, visual documents, and interviews with curators and artists. The exhibition not only showcases the diverse styles of the painters’ work but also reveals the challenges of forming a female artistic community in a male-dominated environment.
