Abstrakt:
Da, da, da. Julia Fiedorczuk, Agneta Pleijel, T.S. Eliot – triangulacje
Artykuł analizuje ewolucję reprezentacji jogi w literaturze feministycznej po 1989 r., od klasycznego body of knowledge (ciała wiedzy) ku współczesnej knowledge of body (wiedzy o ciele). W twórczości Julii Fiedorczuk bohaterka doświadcza transcendencji nad Gangesem poprzez rytualne śanti, osiągając „pokój przekraczający zrozumienie” z wiersza T.S. Eliota – efekt poznawczej podróży ku akceptacji niewiedzy. Podobne motywy introspekcji i cielesnej emancypacji odnajdujemy u Agnety Pleijel w autobiograficznej trylogii (Wróżba, Zapach mężczyzny, Ślimaki i śnieg), w której joga splata się z duchowym rozwojem, echem modernistycznej jałowości z Ziemi jałowej Eliota.

Da, Da, Da. Triangulations: Julia Fiedorczuk, Agneta Pleijel, and T.S. Eliot
This article examines the evolution of representations of yoga in post-1989 feminist literature, tracing a shift from the classical body of knowledge to the contemporary knowledge of the body. In the work of Julia Fiedorczuk, the protagonist experiences transcendence on the banks of the Ganges through the ritual of shantih, attaining “the peace which passeth understanding” evoked in T.S. Eliot’s poetry—the result of a cognitive journey toward the acceptance of unknowing. Similar motifs of introspection and bodily emancipation emerge in the autobiographical trilogy A Fortune Foretold, The Scent of a Man, and Snails and Snow by Agneta Pleijel, where yoga intertwines with spiritual development, echoing the modernist barrenness of Eliot’s Waste Land.
