Abstrakt:
Czy słońce nas ocali? Solarpunk i energy humanities wobec wyzwań solarnej przyszłości
Artykuł stanowi propozycję dowartościowania literatury solarpunkowej w badaniach akademickich. Autorka analizuje wybrane opowiadania reprezentujące nurt, aby pokazać ich potencjał krytyczny oraz dużą świadomość autorów na temat potencjalnych zagrożeń i ograniczeń solarnej transformacji energetycznej. Analiza poprzedzona jest przywołaniem stanu badań nurtu energy humanities na temat energii słonecznej. Interpretacja opowiadań prowadzi do wniosku, że literatura solarpunkowa stanowi istotny wkład w budowanie solarnej przyszłości takiej, o jaką upominają się humaniści w badaniach nad energią.

Abstract:
Will the Sun Save Us? Solarpunk and Energy Humanities Facing the Challenges of a Solar Future
This article advocates for increased recognition of solarpunk literature within academic research. Selected stories from this genre are analyzed to highlight their critical potential and the authors’ awareness of the possible threats and limitations associated with the solar energy transition. Before diving into the analysis, a review of the current state of research in the field of energy humanities regarding solar energy is provided. An interpretation of these stories leads to the conclusion that solarpunk literature plays a significant role in contributing to the solar future that humanists are advocating for in energy research.
